Sampdoria coach Gigi del Neri admits he's confident they can sustain their challenge for fourth place and Champions League qualification.
The Blucerchiati are joint fourth with Palermo and face a battle to the end for qualification into Europe's premier competition.
"This squad has proved it can handle the top end of the table. I think everything is achievable and the difficulty comes when you need to maintain the prestige you have earned," said Del Neri.
"When I said we were the favourites for fourth place, I meant we can challenge for a prestigious target safe in the knowledge we don't have the pressure to get it at all costs.
"Palermo, Juventus, Napoli and even Fiorentina do well to think they can still come fourth, because they have squads constructed for that position. We built a team to get as many points as possible, without setting a precise target.
"At this moment I think Samp have the characteristics to challenge for fourth right to the end."
