Sampdoria chief Osti expects Gabbiadini to stay

Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti has cooled talk of Manolo Gabbiadini leaving in January.

The striker has been linked with a return to Juventus and also Napoli.

"There were talks with [Napoli sporting director Riccardo] Bigon, but they were because we have a mutual friend who asked me for a Napoli shirt which Bigon gave me after the game," Osti told Mars Live Sport.

"We don't intend to weaken our team in January, unless an offer arrives which we can't turn down.

"Not only that, the player is co-owned by Juventus.

"Would €14m be enough for him? I'm not going to talk about figures, you'd be better asking [Sampdoria President Massimo] Ferrero about that."
