Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli was left delighted after their 2-0 Europa League win against Fenerbahce.
Erik Lamela and Joan Jordan struck as Sevilla took control of the round of 16 tie.
Sampaoli said, "It was a very difficult game.
"We knew it would be like this – they've got a very good team, a difficult team who are equipped to compete at this level. We had a lot of problems playing our game in the first half.
"In the second, with a structural change and a substitution [Jordán], we improved a lot."
Sevilla winger Bryan Gil also said: "The first half was about transitions and not much control. In the second half, we controlled the game more and from that came our chances. At half-time [the manager] told us we're strong when we have the ball and control the play . The team understood that and it showed on the pitch."
