Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer admits Mario Gotze chose them ahead of some "incredible offers" from rival clubs.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has agreed to join Bayern in the summer, with the stunning transfer announced yesterday.

Manchester City and Arsenal were among a pack of heavyweights keen and Sammer revealed: "Mario had incredible offers from other clubs.

"I would say let's be happy that he's staying in the Bundesliga."
