Samba wants Blackburn stay

Christopher Samba says he wants to stay with Paul Ince's Blackburn Rovers.

Agent Leon Lambert insists 24-year-old defender Samba, who signed a new five-year deal last season, is staying at Ewood Park.

Lambert said: "Chris has a contract at Blackburn and he is very happy there.

"There has been speculation but at this moment he is staying at Blackburn and I expect him to start the season with Blackburn.

"There has been no contact with anyone else and, Blackburn want him to stay, he's got a contract until 2012, he'll respect that and he is happy there.

"He doesn't know Paul Ince personally but knows a lot about him as a player and I'm sure he will be happy to have him as his manager."
