Shaanxi Chanba defeated Shanghai Shenhua 2-0 in the Chinese Super League last night.
Played at Shanghai's Hongkou stadium, the visitors, led by former Adelaide United midfielder Jonas Salley, took the lead in the 64th minute through substitute Wang Erzhuo.
Shanghai were aiming to jump into the top four with a win but not even ex-Sydney FC and Newcastle Jets midfielder Mark Milligan could help them as Shaanxi's Nigerian striker Edison Joseph added a second four minutes later.
The win allowed Shaanxi to jump to 13th on the table whilst Shanghai slid to 9th.
