The Manchester United 'Class of 92'-owned Salford City has claimed the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League title - coincidentally with 92 points on the board!
A double slip by Salford's closest rivals Darlington against Lancaster and Warrington Town in successive matches over the last few games has meant that the Manchester club managed to claim the title without even kicking a ball ahead of the final round of fixtures.
Owned the by the famed Manchester United Class of 92 members - Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt - Salford claiming the title on 92 points can be seen as a happy coincidence.
Part owner Gary Neville was delighted with his side's achievement and posted the following message on Twitter.
Well done to all our Committee , Fans, managers , players @SalfordCityFC . Big thanks to all the teams who have welcomed us! Party Saturday
