Sagna on Arsenal: Every year we saw someone leave

Bacary Sagna says Arsenal suffered from their constant sales during his time with the club.

Sagna would ultimately depart the Emirates, joining Manchester City and looking back, he suggested that the constant loss of talent was the determining factor in Arsenal's wait for a title.

"We would start building something and then someone would leave. I left after seven years at the end of my contract," the Frenchman told Football.London.

"It came slowly and every year we saw someone leaving which was not easy because you have to rebuild and rebuild and rebuild. You're wasting time at the end of the day.

"I wish we'd kept the same team, not only myself but I wish everyone had stayed. I would have loved to see what we could have brought to the club."
