Bacary Sagna says he swapped Arsenal for Manchester City for the sake of his career.
The fullback was speaking after France training yesterday.
"I changed my club because I think it was time for me to see something new. I spent seven years at Arsenal, it was beautiful when I first arrived.
"It was the moment for me, at age 31, to boost my career. Manchester City has now arrived. I left a club that was more of a family, it was hard to make that choice.
"There's considerable change from London, in relation to climate, relative to the organization.
"The squad is more substantial than Arsenal. I think it will be harder to earn a place than with Arsenal, but it's what I wanted too, it's motivating."
