Sagna emotional as he prepares for Arsenal exit

Arsenal fullback Bacary Sagna was emotional after winning the FA Cup.

Sagna, 31, will be offered a four-year deal by City worth at least £100,000-a-week and wants an agreement wrapped up in the next few days.

But he was overcome with emotion as he explained what it meant to win his first trophy with Arsenal, ending their agonising wait for silverware.

Sagna said: "It's a relief. Its nine years since the club won a trophy so it was really important to win. I'm proud we have given the supporters a trophy and as a player I'm happy to win one.

"Arsene Wenger deserves it because he always believed in us. All these years he has been heavily criticised and we struggled. I'm happy for him.

"As everybody knows, I am at the end of my contract and we did not find understanding with the club. There is a lot of emotion."
