Almeria have sacked coach Vicente Moreno.

Almeria announced the dismissal yesterday after their last defeat to Sevilla, losing 5-1.

Moreno was only appointed in July, but after a poor start to the season the board chose to act.

Almeria announced: "Tthis Friday, early in the afternoon, Vicente Moreno signed the settlement that separates him from the red and white entity.

"UD Almería wants to publicly thank the professionalism and commitment that Vicente Moreno and the members of his coaching staff have shown at all times during his time at Almería."

Moreno spent seven games on the Almería bench with two draws and five defeats. This after Almeira had invested €50m in summer signings.
