Sacked AC Milan coach Leonardo has been recognised as the best rookie coach in Italy last season.

Leonardo has won the Torrazzo award for the best new Coach in Serie A or B.

The Brazilian resigned after just one season, but achieving third place was enough to earn him the Premio Torrazzo.

It was handed over by the Coaches' Association, so voted for by his peers.
