New York Red Bulls have signed four new players ahead of the 2012 MLS season.
Tyler Ruthven, Brandon Barklage, Jose Angulo and Jhonny Arteaga have all been added to the Red Bulls squad after trialing with the club over pre-season.
23-year old defender Ruthven spent last season with NASL club Atlanta Silverbacks, 25-year old midfielder Barklage joins after spending the past three seasons with DC United, 24-year old forward Angulo played last season with the Harrisburg City Islanders and 25-year old Arteaga most recently played for USL Pro side FC New York.
"Jose and Jhonny are both young players who developed in the New York area and are exciting prospects for the future. Brandon has some quality experience in Major League Soccer already and Tyler is another young defender that we think can develop well over time. All four of them did well in preseason to earn a spot on our roster. We look forward to monitoring their development this season and beyond.""We are excited to bring in these four players," said Red Bulls General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler.
