Liverpool legend Ian Rush has admitted his admiration for Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

The veteran has been linked with a summer switch to Anfield.

And Rush, when asked if Pirlo was a Reds target, told TMW: "This I cannot say, we'll see what will be the strategy of Liverpool.

"I just know that Pirlo is a great player and can give a lot to a great extent."
