Liverpool legend Ian Rush believes the early transfer dealings by the club are very positive.
The Reds have already signed midfielder James Milner from Manchester City and striker Danny Ings from Burnley and the club's all-time leading scorer feels the pair are great additions to Brendan Rodgers' squad.
"I think Milner is a great signing. I don't think I've ever seen him have a bad game," Rush told talkSPORT's 'Drivetime'.
"What I like about Ings is his understanding inside the box. His movement is very good. He has quality with both feet and I think he's got more in his locker."
He added of fellow striker Ings: "I think Ings will have a major part to play when we have pre-season games. I think he will be given a chance because he's a quality player."
