Rubin Kazan have swooped for Hercules striker Nelson Valdez.
Espanyol and Getafe along with two English clubs were in the running for the 27-year-old, but Rubin have won the race for his signature.
Valdez, who is believed to have cost Rubin 5million euros (£4.3m) has signed a four-year contract with the Russian outfit.
Hercules were relegated to the Segunda division at the end of last season and their poor financial state meant they had to cash in on the striker.
Valdez joined from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2010 and he scored eight goals in 25 appearances for the Alicante club.
