Ruben Iranzo was proud to make his debut for Valencia in their stunning 4-3 win at Levante.
Iranzo was a second-half substitute as he became the latest VCF academy graduate to reach the first team.
He said, "It's an immense joy. I'm very, very happy. I'm also very grateful to the coaching staff and the coach for the opportunity, to the club and, above all, to my family. They've been supporting me since I was little, and in the end we've achieved this dream. Playing for my boyhood club is the best.
"My family were in the stands. They were able to come here. It was an extra boost, and they were able to experience this with me. We're very happy."
Iranzo also said: "The club always look to youth when they need to, and we are ready. That's the most important thing. We work every day, in both the second team and the youth teams, to be prepared to make the most of any opportunity."
