Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has decided to move for Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in January. The Daily Mail says the Frenchman has received glowing feedback from his European network of spies regarding the former Real Madrid striker.
And after discussions with influential chief scout Steve Rowley, the Arsenal manager has made a firm decision to make an offer for the centre forward when the transfer window reopens.
Wenger has been told there are substantial funds to spend on signings and a portion of the kitty has already been assigned to the Huntelaar move. Huntelaar's current deal expires at the end of the season.
But Wenger will not be the only manager in the mix for the big forward, with Liverpool and Tottenham both continuing to be kept updated on his future.
