Ross County serious about European pursuit says striker Glen

Ross County striker Gary Glen insists the club are determined to push for a spot in Europe next season.

The Staggies sit fourth on the table in their first Scottish Premier League campaign and despite the unlikelihood of them pushing for a Europa League finish, Glen says the Highland club are determined to make history.

"If somebody had said at the start of the season we would be fighting for Europe then you'd probably have laughed," said Glen after scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win at Aberdeen on Tuesday night.

"But we have shown we are a good side and now anything is possible.

"All the expectation at the start of the season was to stay in the league. We have surpassed that and we want to finish as high as possible. The boys have done exceptionally well with the run we are on and if we keep putting on performances like that then we will finish high up the table.

"There has been talk of European football but we can't think like that. We just have to take it one game at a time and try to keep winning.

"We have to aim high but we also have to keep our feet on the ground."
