Rosenior happy with Reading form

Liam Rosenior is happy with his personal form since his arrival at Reading.

The England U21 defender is being played in a midfield role by manager Steve Coppell and said: "I've played four games with Graeme Murty over a six week period which isn't much.

"We don't have that relationship yet but it's something we're working on.

"We're all good professionals and I'm sure performances will soon start to improve. I certainly hope my own will with the more games I get. I've played four, won two, lost two so it's not that bad."

Rosenior also praised the defence for their response to the Portsmouth debacle. "The Portsmouth game was a shock," he admitted. "That happens once in your career and it hurts your pride.

"A lot of fingers were pointed at our defence and goalkeeper but that was unfair. We were all to blame.

"So the most important thing for us was to be sound defensively against Derby and we were. I thought the defence was brilliant.

"We won all our headers against Steve Howard who is one of the biggest men in the league and we looked much more solid again.

"Hopefully after this break we can build up a rhythm and look to push on."
