Mix Diskerud could still re-sign with Rosenborg according to reports.
The 24-year old midfielder is set to come out of contract with the Norwegian club this week but there is still a chance he could be back in Trondheim in 2015.
Reports suggest that there are a number of clubs from around the world who are showing interest in the USA international but Diskerud's father Paal suggests there could yet be an agreement with Rosenborg.
"The parties are something apart," Paal Diskerud told Norwegian daily NRK.
"But not anymore than that I think that possibly quite smoothly may be able to come to an agreement."
He added: "Mix has recently concluded that four clubs have emerged as most appropriate for him, for different reasons."
Diskerud has recently been linked with MLS sides Portland Timbers and Columbus Crew, expansion franchise New York City FC, and clubs in Mexico, Qatar, Germany and Holland.
