New Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is keen on Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
According to reports in Spain, Rosell wants to lure the Liverpool and England World Cup captain to the Nou Camp if Arsenal continue to frustrate Barca's attempts to sign Cesc Fabregas.
Barca coach Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Gerrard and feels he would be a great acquisition for the Spanish champions.
Guardiola is said to admire Gerrard's winning mentality and his leadership qualities, which have come to the fore in South Africa.
Barca would face competition from Real Madrid for Gerrard and coach Jose Mourinho has already gone on record, saying how much he would like to sign the midfield star.
