Wayne Rooney insists he does not have an issue playing in a midfield role with Manchester United.
?The England captain, who has for much of his career operated as a striker, has taken up a less advanced position under Louis van Gaal this season.
?In more recent times, however, Rooney has returned to his customary attacking portrayal to fill the void left by the injured Robin van Persie and has flourished in his old position but says moving back to midfield under van Gaal is still a likely scenario.
?"I've always been hungry to play this season," the England captain told talkSPORT.
?"The manager has seen fit to play me in midfield for some games and I've done that.
"With Robin van Persie injured he's put me back up top and I've been scoring.
"I'm sure there will be times when the manager wants me go back into midfield, which I have no problem doing."?
