Wayne Rooney is happy to continue in midfield for Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
Rooney again played further back for victory over Leicester City on Saturday.
The Sunday Mirror says Rooney has no plans to knock on Van Gaal's door and ask to play a more advanced role so he can be amongst the goals again.
He believes his position is entirely different from when he asked former boss Sir Alex Ferguson about his future just two months before the Scot retired after 27 years in charge at Old Trafford.
