Wayne Rooney is due a £1 million bonus payment from Manchester United this summer.

The Daily Star Sunday says Rooney is rewarded under the terms of his contract for every year he remains at Old Trafford.

It's all part of a £250k-a-week deal and a £1m windfall is due this summer.

Rooney, though, remains unsure of his future with those close to him claiming he feels he is getting some "mixed messages" from the club.
