Wayne Rooney admits it is a pleasure to have Michael Carrick back in the England setup.
The Manchester United midfielder, 33, is in line for his first international appearance since October 2013 when the Three Lions meet Lithuania in Euro2016 qualifying on Friday.
?Carrick has been left out of recent England squads mainly due to injury problems but is now back in the reckoning and United teammate Rooney is glad to have him by his side for his country.
?"[Michael Carrick's] had a few injuries this season and so has missed a few games for Manchester United but he's come back and is going well," Rooney said.
?"He's deserved his call-up and knowing Michael as I do, if he plays he won't let anybody down."
