Ronaldo is adamant that he could still be on his way to Manchester City later this season.

The former Real Madrid striker made a successful playing return yesterday in a bounce game for hometown club Flamengo.

When quizzed about City's interest, Ronaldo said: "The situation is the same as before. I want to take small steps in my recovery and in time I'll be ready to play, then I will make my decision."
