Romain Amalfitano was given his Newcastle United debut in their friendly defeat to Chemnitzer FC.

An early goal from Anton Fink rocked the Magpies and, despite creating numerous chances, they were unable to find a route back into the game.

Haris Vuckic, Shola Ameobi and Dan Gosling all went close for the Magpies.
