Fit-again Roma striker Luca Toni is desperate to play his way into Italy's World Cup squad.
The 32-year-old has finally trained consistently after pulling a calf muscle nearly six weeks ago against Juventus and will play against AC Milan tomorrow night.
Toni said: "Lippi knows my worth and what I can give the team. I hope I can be there. There are still two and a half months ahead of us.
"Wearing the blue shirt is the maximum for an athlete. I have not played many games with La Nazionale, but I had the fortune of winning the World Cup."
