AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko has revealed he's been offered captaincy.
Dzeko has just signed a new contract with the Giallorosso.
“I'm happy when I see how the others are happy that I stayed with my teammates," the 33-year-old told Roma TV.
“I don't want to call them just that. They're also friends, brothers. They were always there to put pressure on me, telling me, 'you're not going anywhere, stay here.'
“I have a wonderful relationship with everyone. Pellegrini and Florenzi told me every day, 'you're going to stay.'
“Florenzi told me, 'if you sign on, I'll give you the armband.' And then after I signed, he said 'it's yours,' but I replied, 'no, you are Ale. You're our captain and you're staying.'"
