AS Roma striker Mattia Destro admits his international career has been frustrating.

Destro has missed selection for Italy for the past two tournaments.

"I came up short both times," Destro lamented.

"I can't deny it. It's disappointing, because when you're there you always hope to be on the plane.

"But every time it happens it makes you realise that you have to do something more, sooner or later I'll be in the final squad."
