AS Roma have signed Corinthians defender Leandro Castan.

Castan's arrival has now been made official, via a statement released by Roma on their official website.

"AS Roma announces that it has signed an agreement with Corinthians for the definitive acquisition of the rights of the player Leandro Castan da Silva, for a fee of €5m, with the player signing a contract for four years until June 30, 2016."
