AS Roma star Kevin Strootman is set for further surgery on his troublesome knee.
The Italian outfit will send the Dutch midfielder for keyhole surgery on the left knee in which he sustained cruciate ligament damage back in March 2014.
Strootman, who has been a target for Manchester United recently, has returned to Holland to seek specialist advice from the surgeon who performed his last operation.
"Yesterday Strootman underwent tests which revealed a mass of fibrous tissue... which can be removed through arthroscopy," read a Roma club statement.
"The surgery will be performed in Amsterdam tomorrow (Friday), when it will also be possible to determine the condition of the injury."
