AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi says he knows nothing of any interest from Manchester City.
The big-spending Eastlands clubs are reportedly keen on De Rossi, who has a year to run on his current contract, but he insists that he has heard nothing from them and feels it is simply speculation made up by the press.
"You journalists come up with something new every day," De Rossi told Sky Sport Italia.
"One day I'm close to a renewal, one day I've turned down who knows what offer, one day I accept another. There really isn't a need to say anything.
"It's an important situation, there are a lot of people who are waiting for an outcome and we have to do what is right, but I'm totally calm.
"Every day I read false information, absurd stories and mad figures that have no place in the air or on the ground."
