AS Roma are lining up a bid for Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.

TMW says Roma are preparing an offer for Krul should they lose Maarten Stekelenburg in the summer.

Stekelenburg, who almost joined Fulham in January, continues to be linked with a move away from Roma.

The Giallorossi have identified Krul as an ideal replacement, though will face competition from AC Milan and a wait - while the Dutchman recovers from a serious shoulder injury.
