AS Roma are eyeing Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul.

The Sun says Roma have opened talks about a summer deal for the Frenchman.

Kaboul was named club captain at Tottenham at the start of the season, but has since lost his first-choice status under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Roma chief Walter Sabatini has made a move for the defender, registering their interest with his representatives.

Kaboul has also been linked with Olympique Marseille and Lyon.
