AS Roma midfielder Gini Wijnaldum insists their Europa League hopes remain alive after defeat at Feyenoord.
Roma lost the first-leg of their quarterfinal 1-0 at De Kuip.
Wijnaldum said: "They [Feyenoord] score a lot of goals, also away from home. They have the quality to create a lot of chances. So we just have to deal with that. We already showed we can against Salzburg and [Real] Sociedad.
“Everyone has their own opinion on whether Feyenoord's victory was deserved. We also had chances to win, and it could have been a draw. The timing of the penalty was great; then again, every minute of the game is a good time to get a penalty. But, of course, it's not a guarantee that you will score."
Roma defender Gianluca Mancini added: "You must have personality to stand on the penalty spot and Pellegrini has it. He hit the post today, but he has scored a lot, too. You can miss penalties. The match was hard fought. In the first 12 minutes of the second half, Feyenoord put us under pressure, but after that we controlled the game."
