AS Roma midfielder Fernando Gago feels they're well on course for Champions League qualification.

Gago is on-loan at Roma from Real Madrid.

"Playing in that competition would be important, but we have to take things one game at a time," he said.

"We have been making mistakes in defence, but that is only normal because you need time to assimilate such a complex way of playing football."
