Roma have made contact with Sevilla for striker Arouna Kone.

Controcampo says negotiations are at the initial stage, but an approach has been made by Roma for the Ivory Coast international.

Roma see Kone, who has struggled to make an impact at Sevilla this season, as an alternative to striker Mirko Vucinic and know they can land the ex-PSV Eindhoven star for around £4 million.
