Roma draw up £18.1M offer to tempt Milner away from Man City

AS Roma have drawn up a stunning Bosman offer for Manchester City midfielder James Milner to consider.

The Daily Star Sunday says Roma's director of football, Walter Sabatini, has been in Manchester for talks. Milner, 29, impressed Roma when playing against them in this season's Champions League.

The Italian club are understood to be willing to pay Milner £100k a week over the course of a three-year contract - AFTER tax!

That would be wages of £15.6m, while they would also give him a £2.5m signing fee.

City and their boss Manuel Pellegrini however, believe Milner - who recently became a father - would prefer to stay in England.
