Roma defender Chris Smalling has agreed terms over a new contract.
Smalling's agent has been in Rome since Sunday to negotiate new terms with the Giallorossi as the stopper's deal runs down.
The former Manchester United defender has accepted a two-year contract worth €7m net, with the first year being worth €3.5m plus bonuses and the second year slightly less.
James Featherstone, the defender's agent, has spent these days speaking with Roma chief Tiago Pinto.
An agreement was reached after Pinto agreed to raise their offer to meet Smalling's demands.
