"Are we Scudetto material? I thank everyone for the compliments, but it almost seems to me as if the other teams are disguising their brilliance to put us as pacemakers," laughed Spalletti.

"There are many squads that have a lot more to them than us, just as there are others who can easily enter the race, such as Fiorentina.

"What I am interested in is seeing my players keep their feet firmly planted on the ground. Today, for example, we deservedly won at Reggina, but it was very tough and we did well to take advantage of the positive incidents in our favour.

"The game was then more simple for us and the second half could almost be described as easy."
