"Are we Scudetto material? I thank everyone for the compliments, but it almost seems to me as if the other teams are disguising their brilliance to put us as pacemakers," laughed Spalletti.
"What I am interested in is seeing my players keep their feet firmly planted on the ground. Today, for example, we deservedly won at Reggina, but it was very tough and we did well to take advantage of the positive incidents in our favour.
"The game was then more simple for us and the second half could almost be described as easy."
Juan marked his Serie A debut with the opening goal at the Granillo, swiftly followed by a red card for Reggina defender Valdez.
Francesco Totti secured the scoreline late on after a series of opportunities for Ludovic Giuly and Alberto Aquilani.
However, Spalletti warns their greatest strength - the entertaining style of play - can also be their worst weakness.
"Sometimes we are too spectacular and waste easy chances. Today we struggled in a few occasions, while over the course of the match we should have been more clinical to lock up the result earlier."
