Roma coach Spalletti admits Man Utd concerns after thrashing

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admits he has concerns about this week's Champions League clash with Manchester United after last night's 4-1 thrashing at home by Inter Milan.

"We must absolutely not carry this match with us," said a dejected Spalletti at the final whistle. "The bitterness from such a bad result remains, but we have to learn how to use that in the right way. We have to swallow that bitter pill to become stronger."

Inter coach Roberto Mancini's tactical choices also caused problems for Spalletti, as he surprisingly fielded a 3-4-2-1 system with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as lone striker.

"If they had two forwards, there would have been less need to scale back, but this way we always had to move a central midfielder out of position. Inter had the numerical advantage and an extra figure in midfield too."
