Roma coach Claudio Ranieri was happy to give Francesco Totti another 45 minutes in their 4-1 thumping of Palermo.

Totti was not expected to feature at all, but again played the first half to help recover from his long-term knee injury.

Ranieri said: "He was in better shape than against Fiorentina, so it's important that he slowly improves and can train regularly.

"With 45 minutes in Florence and another 45 today, he can gradually gain match fitness."
