Roma coach Ranieri happy with Juventus point

AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri was satisfied with their point against Juventus.

In the 1-1 between Juventus and Roma this evening, possession was identical for each side and there were plenty of chances along with goals from Vincenzo Iaquinta and Francesco Totti.

"It was the right result, as I saw two teams who wanted to win. In the first half we had the chance to go in front, while in the second it was a very open game," said the Giallorossi Coach.

"Having seen Juve's other games, we knew they would sit back and hit us on the counter, so we had to take the initiative, but should've been more clinical."

Roma had a disastrous start to the season, but are now right back up there in the Scudetto race.

"There was the risk of repeating what happened to this club two years ago, when they came so close to the Scudetto and followed it up with a mediocre campaign, but this group of players is hungry and managed to climb back up the hill without letting their heads drop.

"I also had the good fortune and surprise of finding Leandro Greco and Fabio Simplicio ready for action, as they are giving us a real helping hand."
