Roma coach Jose Mourinho is refusing to give up on landing Manchester United defender Eric Bailly.

Mourinho wants to bring Bailly to Italy this summer, despite his injury record.

Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports Roma has intensified negotiations with United.

Roma hope to be able to loan the 28-year-old with an option to buy. Bailly has a contract until 2024 with an option for another year.

He only played four games in the Premier League last season.
