Roma coach Paulo Fonseca admits he wants to keep hold of his two on-loan Premier League stars.
Manchester United defender Chris Smalling and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan both shone in Roma's rout of Lecce yesterday.
And afterwards, Fonseca stated: "Chris is fantastic, a great man, a great, great professional. The adjustment was very easy for him. He's a guy that everyone in the club loves.
"I would like Chris to stay. We are talking. I don't know if that's possible because of the situation with Manchester United, but I really want Chris to stay because he is very important.
"Mkhi has had some injuries during the season but now returns and he proves his quality. We'll see. He is a player with good decisions on the pitch and I would also like to keep Mkhi in our team."
