Roma chief Sabatini weighing up bid for Club Brugge keeper Mat Ryan

AS Roma are weighing up a move for Club Brugge goalkeeper Mat Ryan.

Roma chief Walter Sabatini is in the market for a new keeper as they seek a long-term successor for veteran Morgan de Sanctis.

Sabatini's priority is Inter Milan No1 Samir Handanovic, who is expected to be sold this summer after refusing to agree terms over a new deal. His Inter contract has just over a year to run.

Among alternatives under consideration is Australia international Ryan.

Roma have followed Ryan for 18 months and made enquiries with Club Brugge about his availability. Though, as yet, no formal bid has been tabled.
