Roma chief Sabatini admits Serie A race just 2-horse race

AS Roma chief Walter Sabatini wishes Serie A was more competitive.

Sabatini admits it's becoming clear the title will be decided between themselves and Juventus.

"With Juventus we can compete, we are happy to be able to play them on level points," said Sabatini.

"I would hope that the championship will also involve others - if the dynamics were to be those of last year then it becomes difficult.

"If, however, other teams are up in the standings - I am sure this will happen - it will be different and I believe that our chances might grow.

"It is not great news for Serie A [that Roma and Juve are already ahead of the others]. We are pleased to be top alongside Juve, but I would rather have a season that was more complex, with more high-level matches.

"It can happen, in Italy there are strong teams that will emerge soon. Both Roma and Juventus could compete in other Leagues, I won't say to win them, but to honour them."
